commentAfter explaining what I needed to have done, Mr. Micke quoted me a price and said that was "it" and that I wouldn't have to pay another dime. That turned out to be untrue more than once. After doing relatively little, Mr. Micke more than doubled his initial fee and said that it "was taking longer than he thought it would" and refused to do anything further until his extortionate demand was met.
When it came time to file several returns, Mr. Micke demanded a considerable amount to prepare each return, despite the fact that I had been promised that the initial fee--and the subsequent second fee--would be payment in full. Despite the fact that he had already broken his promises twice, I agreed to pay a set amount for each return. However, when he presented them to me, Mr. Micke used a bait-and-switch ploy to extort even more money from me. Once again, he used the "it took longer than I thought it would" excuse and nearly doubled the price of each return. Foolishly, I paid it.
Worst of all, after the returns were filed, Mr. Micke wanted nothing more to do with me and it wasn't until I dealt with the IRS myself that my case was finally settled.
Norm Micke is a very charming man, but is really just a wolf in sheep's clothing. Learn from my mistakes and look elsewhere for accounting or tax assistance.
