Ed Magnus did our joint tax return in 2014, forgetting to include my husband's social security income. When the IRS called us on it we had to return over $3000 of our refund. When we called Ed he laughed and said, Gee, I've never done THAT BEFORE. Oh, well, it wasn't your money anyway. No apology. No offer of compensation, such as I will refund your filing fee or I will do your taxes free next year. He did not file an amended return as required by law. Now I just heard from the very slow moving state of Vermont that i owe them over $700 that I don't have since I lost my husband to cancer in 2016. An apology would have gone a long way with us. I would never hire Magnus and Associates again.
